And now, it's Laird Cregar!

We start off with this three-page tribute to Laird Cregar, who appeared in 14 films, Hudson's Bay, Blood and Sand, Charley's Aunt, I Wake Up Screaming, Joan of Paris, Rings on Her Fingers, This GUn For Hire, The Gentleman From West Point, The Black Swan, Hello Frisco Hello!, Heaven Can Wait, Holy Matrimony, The Lodger, and Hangover Square. His biography is mentoned, and the article is continued on page 58 (this part ending on page 26). I have no idea why there's that photo of Rondo Hatton at the top of the page!

This is followed up with an article about Victor Buono, who Robert C. Roman thinks is a successor to Laird Cregar! Buono's roles included parts in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?, 77 Sunset Strip, The Untouchables, Hawaiian Eye, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Robin and the 7 Hoods, The Strangler... and this article is also continued on page 58!

Page 31 is a very short article about Geramny's revival of horror films.

Next time around: Frankenstein TV Movie Guide, which is in the F's!

mmm.. basicly, Laird Cregar was an up and coming one that while hade done a number of films, was still on the up when he died and Victor Buono was someone doing simlar roles, maybe even a couple that they at first wanted Laird Cregar for.. i wouldn't have agreed fully with that.. but i remember Victor Buono from only a hand full of small roles as Jim's Father in an episode of Taxi, a few episodes of Man from Atlantis (i was never a big fan though), King Tut in Batman (60s Live action) and of course, a much smaller role as one of the Mutants in Beneath the Planet of the Apes. None of them roles seam to fit what little i know about Laird Cregar (oh, and they missed his first two roles in 'Oh Johnny, How you can love?' and 'Granny Get your gun'.. neither major roles at all.. but roles none the less

I doubt I've seen any movie with Cregar in it, but I know I've seen Buono in lots of stuff -- of course, especially Batman and Man From Atlantis, as well as Beneath POTA. Didn't know he played Jim's father on Taxi, though!
